This past week I made a couple of more little gifts. A family member loves otters. I’d pretty much run out of ideas for something cute for her and then I remembered that I still had a couple of kitchen towels that I’d bought for embellishing. This little guy turned out so cute! The Applique wasn’t difficult and the best part for me was that it looks like an otter!
Next I wanted to send off a little something to a friend’s mother. Traditionally I make Pizzelle each year. This year I made almond, chocolate and vanilla. I sewed a scrap rope bowl to hold the Pizzelle – a both useful and partially consumeable gift! As long as I was sewing rope, I made a second one.
Reminiscing is so enjoyable for me during the holidays. I looked back at older blog posts from my first blog. I found a pic of a cubicle quilt I’d made for my daughter back in her cubicle days at her first job out of college. How fun this little Santa is!
Now I’ll clean up the studio and say goodbye until next week when I hope to spend some productive and creative hours sewing.
Merry Christmas Joyce! Linda C
