Love, love, love batiks – and I have four bins of batiks to prove it! A while back I decided to do a scrappy batik after having seen a quilt a member of my guild did using scraps. I started this quilt at a quilt camp (here) I attended in October and finally got back to it at home last month. It is totally scrappy – no plan with colors and was done as a “leader-ender” project. Although the pieces are somewhat small, it finished rather quickly.
I was happy with it, but once I hung it outside – Wow! That’s when I fell in love with it! This Batik Party is a fun year-end finish.

Hi! Libby here, from Mtn. Quilt Camp. I remember seeing your start on this one. It turned out nice.
Oh Libby – Thank you! Amazing how much gets done at Quilt Camp.
That’s a beautiful quilt – I can understand why you fell in love with it. Wonderful work!
So very kind of you. Hope to fall in love with my next finish!
