This has got to be one of my favorite finishes. It just bursts with color! It is a Tula Pink pattern and her fabrics. She is one of my favorite designers and this quilt was a joy to make. I classify this pattern as a modern bargello. As I was putting it together, I’ll admit I wasn’t feeling quite as excited. There was some tedious cutting and I knew the piecing needed to be fairly precise. As the quilt began to grow and take shape, the colors came together and I then became anxious to finish it.
Don’t you love the quilting? When I sent this quilt off to the long-arm professional, I knew this was the pattern I wanted her to use and yes, I think it’s perfect!
The backing is a Brandon Mably fabric – made just for this quilt! And I love the way the binding fabric sets it all off. I did hand sew this binding and Oh My! I’d forgotten what a task that is! My hand ached for days – very worth the effort. And…another finish!! Merry Christmas to ME!!
