On our recent road trip we stayed with a quilting buddy. The guest room was just lovely and we got to sleep under one of her beautiful quilts – a Storm at Sea pattern done in dark blue batiks. Did I take a pic? Silly me, no. However, on the dresser in the guest room was a sweet surprise – a “prayer flag.” That’s what E called it. The flag is really a very simple design. Because E lives on an island, she did a beach design and she even sewed “Walk on the Beach” in the sky section. Love the footprint fabric!
It now proudly hangs in my guest room. This is just such a good idea for when special guests are coming to stay – to greet them with a prayer and a memory of their stay (that is, hoping they want to remember their stay!)
