Beach Bindings

October is a most excellent time to vacation on the South Carolina coast.  We spent five beautiful days – warm, sunny and uncrowded.  We even did some swimming!  I in the heated pool and Bob in the ocean.  While he boogie boarded like a child, I lifeguarded (well, sorta – I would have called for help if needed).  I brought two large quilt with me that needed the binding hand sewn, and got quite a bit of it done while watching the waves. In the evening I sat in our ocean front condo and continued to sew while listening to the surf.  I came home with two finished quilts! Amazingly, I had a third, but it did not get done.  What was amazing was that I actually had bindings to finish on three quilts! It will definitely be back to the beach next October!!
